Waymarks Ministries is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization which exists for the purpose of reaching our world in both practical and spiritual ways in order to show the love of Christ! He is our passion! Our mission is not to make a name for ourselves, but rather to lift up the Name that is above all names - Jesus Christ!
The ministry's co-founder and president is Gina Gholston. Gina has been involved in different areas of ministry for over 20 years. She is an anointed minister with a compassionate heart and a great desire to proclaim and live the truth of God's Word, declaring freedom, life, and purpose to the church and to the world.
The Name
"Set thee up waymarks, make thee high heaps: Set thine heart toward the highway" (Jeremiah 31:21).
This Scripture was spoken into our hearts, and as we began to study the verse along with the whole chapter, God began to make it clear to us that this was His desire for this ministry.
A waymark is a guidepost, a sign pointing in the right direction. Our ministry is to the unsaved; those who are without God and without hope. We desire to see people's lives changed by the power of God. Our ministry is also to the church. We long to see God's people awaken into their purpose and that the eyes of our understanding will be enlightened that we may know the hope of His calling, the riches of the glory of His inheritance, and the exceeding greatness of His power that works to us who believe.
Jesus came that we might have abundant life. The testimony that will change the world is when they see the church living that abundant life. We are all "waymarks". People have lost their direction. We are called to point them in the right direction of their destiny and hope in Christ!
